My laptop is dead! I need help from a computer whiz!?

Unfortunately, I was using someone elses Wi-Fi signal to use the internet on my laptop, when it would constantly freeze up and restarts itself. Now when i try to turn it on, the screen is unresponsive. The power and the wifi signal lights come on. I asked around to figure out what the problem was, and several people said to check if there was any interference from new satellite dishes, phones, and microwave ovens. I went to the library to eliminate all that interference, with no luck. Someone also said to remove my hard drive, it might be encrypted with a script. I bought a new hard drive, put it in, with the same results: nothing. Maybe there is something that automatically turns on my wi-fi? Where can i go where there is NO signal? It cant be my hard drive. Maybe its my memory?
