Am I right to be irritated?

In the current world of instant gratification people are like that everywhere. Common sense and manners are a thing of the older generation and the very few properly raised younger generation caught in the new "Degeneration Generation" of kids that are out here now. yes I would have been irritated also. i would have asked what the texts are about, just because im a nosy person like that. As for your call, you should have taken the call and asked to be excused from the table, made the call very short with your person and returned to the table.
